KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Promotes and sells a portfolio of products to current and target customers
• Develops and consultatively sells appropriate product/service solutions and cultivates referrals• • Manages a team of sales professionals within a region or area
• Focuses on managing and selling to larger and more complex clients and prospects
• Participates fully in all contract renewal efforts
• Creates territory and account plan to meet objectives based on constituent clients • Mentors team members
• Liaise with senior sales management, and business units regarding client activity, results, competitive information, and market trends
• Suggests changes to revenue development strategy • Establishes relationships at senior levels of client organization to promote S&P Global thought leadership and understand client objectives to influence future product development and revenue growth
• Manages a sales team in a region to promote best practices in successful selling and client management
• Participates in the annual budget process planning session to provide client and market input to the process

• Has broad based knowledge of the industry and specialized knowledge of products
• Has broad based domain knowledge

• Works with other functional teams across the organization,product management, marketing

MINIMUM & PREFERRED EDUCATION

• Bachelor' degree, MBA is a plus

MINIMUM & PREFERRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS

• 4-6 years relevant industry experience and a proven track record in consultative sales
• Experience in managing and growing business with complex key accounts and establishing relationships at the senior level of the organization across divisions
